- Tea & Crackers | Rolling Stone Politics – A lengthy, lefty-screedy takedown the Tea Party movement. Probably unfair in some of its grander, blistering generalizations, but a fascinating read that rings true enough to be alternately hysterical and deeply depressing.

- Keeping the lawyers busy in 2011 and 2012 – Who controls the House (and the Senate) both matter. Things can be (and will be) far worse if the GOP holds a majority in either chamber, and not just form a legislative standpoint.
- Why The Religious Right Never Talks About Divorce – Given the large number of divorcees (many of them multiply so) in the GOP leadership, it’s not surprising the Religious Right doesn’t push the issue. Disappointing, perhaps, from a moral consistency standpoint, but not surprising.

- Where Landrieu’s loyalties lie – It’s worth noting that folks like Landrieu and Nelson and the like are part of that magical “60 vote super-majority” that the Dems are supposed to be able to rely upon to get things passed. That they are just as likely to hop over to the GOP should that party regain power is indicative of the problem.
