Unblogged Bits (Tue. 26-Oct-10 1730)

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. Bad News For Beck and Barton: The Founding Fathers Were Antichrists – Niiiiiiiice. Ironically, it sounds like it’s closer to the truth than the Beck/Barton “They were all upstanding Christians who wanted this to be a Christian-run country” history, even if the ultimate lesson (Deists! Masons! Tolerance! Anti-Christ!) is goofy in its own right.
  2. Study Documents Chamber of Commerce Takeover Of Supreme Court: Ian Millhiser
  3. MoveOn Activist Head-Stomper Identified As Rand Paul Campaign Coordinator – Minor kudos to the Rand campaign for giving Profitt the boot. For the moment, at least.
  4. REPORT: 130 Republicans In Congress Want To Consider Ending Birthright Citizenship – Your future GOP majority at work!
  5. Rand Paul Dismisses His Supporters’ Assault On MoveOn Activist As ‘Jockeying Back And Forth’ – Oh, well, it’s just an “situation” that he hopes “in the future” will “be better.” Stay classy, Rand!

  1. It might be interesting if the 14th amendment were repealed. All senators and congressmen would immediately be ineligible for their jobs as they never “became” citizens (actually, we all would, but…). I would like to make them immediately take the test for citizenship and let only those who pass on the first try keep their jobs!

It wouldn’t play out this way, of course, but I can dream.
