Especially when you read the blatherings of Gary Grothman, the Republican state senator who was a major leader in the fight to real the Equal Pay Act in the state. Grothman argues, with a perfectly straight face (a) there is no pay inequality, because Ann Coulter says so, (b) even if there were, it would be because women are too busy having kids and aren't as "go go go" to advance as men, which is okay because (c) men need to be paid more anyway because they are the breadwinners.

It’s Gelnn Grothman, and he’s the worst possible kind of WisGOP dolt. However, I can tell you that from my view on the ground in Wisconsin that all of the GOP, except Dale Schultz (who is facing a recall attempt from the Right) have completely gone off the deep end.
I blame the money in politics for polarizing a Wisconsin elector landscape that used to allow for barroom deals and lunchroom convivality. That’s all gone now, and with it all the hallmarks that used to make Wisconsin home to the cleanest politics in America.
