John Derbyshire is a dolt (The Talk Edition)

Though I suspect that he would deny he is, in fact, racist, but is instead (as are all whites) actually the victim of that core "ferociously hostile" 5% of blacks (and the 50% who will go along with them) who are out to "inconvenience or harm" whites.

Yes, John — clearly the problem with racial relations in our society is that blacks are so hostile toward whites. If they'd just settle down and be "intelligent and well-socialized blacks" (assuming aren't among those many blacks too below-average-intelligent to be so), life on the plantation would get back to normal again, right?

Disgusting.

For the record, as a "white parent," we have not given our daughter this talk. Nor, to the best of my knowledge, has any white parents I know. I am sure there are some who have (though probably not as elegantly framed and outlines as Mr Derbyshire presents), but I'm not interested in knowing them. #ddtb

  1. They need a better copy editor there. But yeah, I got dumber just by reading that, in the sense that I got so angry I had a minor stroke. But at least somebody is being honest. Maybe there can be more directed efforts to break down such thinking.

  2. Disregarding the abysmal writing, I will simply say that I have never had such a talk with any of my children or any of my grandchildren. I would not be likely to have such a talk with any of my great grandchildren, either; particularly not those of mixed race. Derbyshire not a racist? Some old adage about ducks comes to mind.
