Wow! The 50th issue of my podcast. Who’da thunk it?
On the other hand, it’s also been two months since my last installment, rather than the normal one month. Mea culpas all around — I’ll try to do better.
The problem is … however will I cover all the great comics that have come out over the past two months, even if I narrow it down to just the books I’ve read? Let’s find out …

Post A vs X, I find I can’t generate any interest in the Ultron thing.
Cyc-nix sets the world on fire for a few minutes — figure maybe 500,000,000 to a billion dead (the 50+ tsunamis haven’t hit land yet and the blast from Yellowstone has killed only tens of millions so far) and Hope-nix fixes it…
What? She remade from millions of people from ash and steam and whatnot without mistakes? Do they have nightmares? Rashes? Indigestion? And didn’t bring Xavier back? (Granted, he’s a dick. But still…) Remade all the military equipment the Phoen-X-es tossed away? Creating gigantic rocks and dropping them in volcanoes shuts them down? (Very Silver Age GL or Supes, that.) Did she shove the magma back under Yellowstone, ready to take out half the human race at any time? Didn’t bother to turn all men into good listeners or something? Bind feed-Avengers’-souls-to-demons-girl Illyana in Limbo forever and ever? Zap a few hundred gigatons of carbon out of the atmosphere? Something useful?
So I can’t imagine the Ultron thang doing anything of interest.
They broke me.
I confess I zoned about slightly on the Big Fiery Resolution to all that when it happened, so I didn’t have a good sense of what got handwaved away.
But, yeah, after that having the world taken over by a super-robot seems a bit mundane.
Nice job, still hoping to get the Before Watchman as a TPB as well as the 47 Ronin.
