Electricity in bed is not your friend

The headline of the story is not quite accurate — it appears that the teen in question was electrocuted by a faulty charger plugged into her iPhone under her pillow.

Which, yeah, neither should be there, but only one is actually connected to the electrical outlet in the wall.

  1. +steph wanamaker I don't think the iPhone itself is the issue here but an electrical short or exposure on the cord or at the adapter end (which could as easily happen with an Android or a feature phone, for that matter).

I'm generally not comfortable with my mattress mushing up against an occupied outlet, let alone leaving something on the other end sitting on the bedding. Electricity > Sparks > Fire.  But to each their own. 🙂
