There's always this subtext amongst the more rabid anti-vaccination types that as long as their own kids stay safe, other kids can cough up blood and die, too bad, so sad. This "paleo-cardiologist" simply speaks what those other folk have hemmed and hawed around.
Also, he appears to think vaccinations cause leukemia. Which makes me wonder where he got his medical degree from, and why CNN is bothering to interview him.

It would seem that he is a cardiologist (well, we knew he wasn't an immunologist!) who got his degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and was a resident at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.¹ That school is ranked 154th out of 194 medical schools.² Make of that what you will.

They (everyone who has) interview him for the sake of “balance.” To paraphrase the comedian Dara O’Briain (because I can’t remember the exact quote), they don’t do this for things like the space station. They don’t have a NASA guy on explaining the station and then, for balance, turn to Barry, who thinks the sky is a carpet painted by God. However, for vaccines? It’s a free for all.
