Now, now … I'm sure the reference to President "Obongo" and "Obongocare" are simply references to the incumbent's well-known Marxist leanings, shared by all those unwashed long-haired hippies who sit around in coffee shops and play the bongos, Right? Am I right? I mean it couldn't be racist, because we all know that "racism" is an empty liberal talking point to distract from the failures of the current administration.

Googling the word certainly fetches some unlovely attitudse and wacky stories, but it’s also getting a lot of attention and heat. You’ll see many copies of the “witch doctor” image that was photoshopped onto an anti-Obamacare poster.
Lee’s original comment was on a story about a Vernal, UT juice bar that charges a dollar more for smoothies purchased by liberals. It’s in a part of Utah that’s always been kind of a wildcat rigger/wacky libertarian/non-LDS refuge for the unevolved.
The whole thing reminds me why I no longer go to Utah except when there’s a family crisis or event. I’ll go on spending vacation dollars elsewhere – we thought we’d try northern Idaho next time as there’s more family there, but oopsie! A gun manufacturer wants to build a Galtian neo-medieval citadel just south of them, so we’ll have to be careful not to look too librul.
In fairness to the newspaper – it's in an article that is specifically about how racist it was of the subject to use those terms.
True, +Kit Malone — on the other hand, it was an article about zaniness in their own letters to the editor.
Actually, it was a response to a posting in the comments section of their online paper. "Aside from his poor spelling and scurrilous, racist references to the president, Lee’s rant is inaccurate." Seems like a cut-and-dry denouncement of an online kook.
Whether the paper can/should better moderate their comments / LttE is a separate question, but I'm certainly glad to see them at least calling out this kind of thing.
