Yeah, because things weren’t hectic enough already.
Friday-Sunday: Off at the Parish Retreat above Colorado Springs. Yes, that’s not “hectic” by definition or design, and it should in fact be fun, restful, contemplative, and recreational. It will also be (a) time away from home and (b) a time of responsibilty (I’m on the retreat committee, and am the MC of the revelries Saturday night), both of which have their elements of stress and hecticness..
Monday-Friday: Off to beeyooteeful Tullahoma, Tennessee (motto: “Pretty Much Two Hours Drive From Anywhere”), for an offsite with my boss and peer managers. While I am sure there will be some pleasant aspects of the trip (fancy dinners at the TGI Friday, fancy breakfasts at the Waffle House), it is, after all, some very long days of travel sandwiching some very long days of meetings my with boss.
Oh, yeah — I had a couple of presentations I was supposed to put together. Good thing I have tomorrow to do so …
The following Monday-Tuesday: Off on another business trip, this time to the garden spot of Houston, Texas. A doctor’s appointment Monday afternoon means an evening flight and thus arriving at my hotel around 11 p.m., and arriving home the following night about the same time.
So expect an odd schedule of hit/miss blogging, general crankiness, etc.
Yeeks! That’s a lot of travel! Hope you’re back to say hello to next weekend!
That’s about the only time I *am* back. 😛
Yeah, too much travel. Coincidental, to be sure, but I could have wished for some of it to be shifted a week or two.
Phase 1 is accomplished. The parish retreat was a lot of fun, refreshing, in a great and scenic location with a lot of fine people –but we got very little sleep, mostly thanks to our little blond 6-o’clock alarm clock.
