- Star Trek Re-watch: “Spock’s Brain” – Okay, I don’t care what hesitations the review writer (and commenters) have, this is, IMO, the Worst. TOS. Episode. Ever. Yeah, there are plenty of other bad, awful, wretched, improbable S.3 eps, but this one is unrelentingly awful, except where it’s unintentionally hysterical, except where it’s both.
- Paul Tobin Counts Down the 40 Greatest Comic Cover Artists – I don’t necessarily agree with all his choices, but it’s an interesting collection and an intriguing premise — not necessarily best artists, but best artists at making covers.

8. I read about the Batmobiles a few weeks back. They require deposits at several key stages of the construction. I wonder how many people have buyer’s remorse. I’d be concerned about vandalism, I think. On a related note, have you seen this?
11. I recently got the boxed set of the remastered TOS, and so got to see “Spock’s Brain” again. It is still the worst of the lot.
12. This reminds me of something I’ve been meaning to ask you. What artists do you most associate with particular comic book characters? My (partial) list would look something like this:
Spider-Man – John Romita, Sr.
Hulk – Sal Buscema
Iron Man – John Romita, Jr. & Bob Layton
Daredevil – Gene Colan
Superman – Curt Swan
Batman – Jim Aparo
Sadly, I’m not sure I have that strong an association between characters and their key artists.
