Oops. Inadvertently posted this Privately in G+ rather than Publicly.
One further observation on the festival: I was probably in the 95th Percentile, age-wise. Gads. Still had a good time.

Do you like Craft Beers in Boulder? Gettin' caught in the rain?
The inaugural Boulder Craft Beer Festival ran into a bit of a downpour problem for about twenty minutes this afternoon. Actually, it worked out pretty well, since it broke the cycle of queue-pour-queue that everyone was in. Plus, everyone had a blast either getting soaked or huddling under one or the pop-ups or patio umbrellas (the good cheer being enhanced by, well, beer).
It was actually a lot of fun as an event (downpour notwithstanding). There were a couple dozen breweries there, almost all good (though almost all pouring at least one IPA, sigh), and while the lines eventually got long, by and large it didn't feel oppressively crowded (helped by a limit on the number of tickets they sold). We went with Mary and Stan and Jackie (designated driver) and Scott, and look forward to going again next year.
