Beware the Bat!

Sigh.

I've actually enjoyed "Beware the Batman" far more than I expected. Though it's very revisionist in its treatment of Alfred and of Batman's side-kick (as well as a completely new rogues gallery), it captures for me quite neatly the spirit of Batman. The CG animation takes a bit of getting used to as well, but ultimately it works pretty well.

Nonetheless, Cartoon Network has yanked it from the schedule until January. Which calls to mind its similar yanking of "Young Justice" and other mistreatment of DC Comics material.

Since I don't actually view CN all that much, I have no idea how much support they've given the series, as explanation for the tepid viewership numbers. But I'd recommend it for a look-see — once it returns.

Coming up soonish: "Frozen"

1. Nice animation.
2. Some interesting characters — perhaps.
3. Hard to judge the story so far since … well, we don't don't get to see much of it. Which is okay, but we saw a lot of the non-story gags.
4. I am already annoyed with the snow man and fear that we will see him everywhere and on everything for the next X years. Ugh.

Movie Review: "Hotel Transylvania" (2012)

Movie Review: "Rise of the Guardians" (2012)

Frankly, a lot better than I was expecting, with deeply imagined settings and characters somewhat sabotaged with a plot that rides (smoothly, to be sure) on very predictable rails for the last half of the movie.
